Serenity Knights
Fun, Friendship, and New Adventures!
A Bronzebeard WoW Guild

Guild Leader: Xannatharr

Mentors: Pegorah, Kiriia, Marbared, Kromer

Requirements for Membership - To be invited into the Serenity Knights, you must be 18 years of age, be a fun and friendly player, and not have a reputation as being disruptive in chat channels and groups. If you have a reputation for behavior contrary to the Guild Rules shown below, you will not be invited into the Serenity Knights - regardless of any "leaves you've turned over".

Note* Existing Serenity Knights below the age of 18 may remain in the guild. Children of existing Serenity Knights members will be allowed to join, with their parent accepting responsibility for their child.

Why an age requirement?
The Serenity Knights want to have players that can be part of a Guild Event, no matter how late it runs. We want players who are qualified under the WoW Terms of Service to control their own WoW account - and who aren't going to be forbidden from playing WoW by some other person (their parent). Lastly, we don't want to play a part in helping kids disobey their parents' rules - like going on a raid with us instead of working on homework, etc.

GUILD RULES

The following rules are enforced by our Officers. The Guild Leader or a Mentor may demote or remove members from the guild for violation of these rules. Class Commanders may take violations of these rules into account when determining seating for raids.

1) Ongoing rude or behavior cruel toward other members of the guild is not allowed.
2) Ninja looting is strictly prohibited. (Ninja looting is: selecting “need” on an item while in a group that you can’t actually use or wear OR looting a chest that you could not have reached unless others nearby engaged the monsters defending it first OR taking things from a chest without rolling while in a party OR generally NOT following the loot rules established by party/raid leader at the beginning of an instance run)
3) Members of the Serenity Knights may not have characters in other guilds, except during the Recruit probationary period. After the end of your Recruit period, if you are unwilling to withdraw from the other guilds when asked by a Mentor or the Guild Leader, we will remove you from the Serenity Knights.
4) Spamming world, guild or city chat channels with profanity, especially mispelled profanity that is meant to circumvent the profanity filters is not acceptable. We all get angry and type/say things in the heat of the moment, but members who do so continuously, and refuse to curb the behavior will be subject to disciplinary action.
5) Begging (asking for money from other players) is never acceptable except in jest. If you need money, experienced members or officers will be GLAD to show you places to “grind” monsters or help you utilize the AH to sell and make money. But just outright asking others to send you “mount money” or any other type of cash presents a negative image of our guild and of you.
6) Guild members who disregard the instructions of a raid or party leader on an ongoing basis, and who refuse to cooperate for the success of the group will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including removal from the guild.

We can and will add to this list as needed. Mentors or the Guild Leader may be forced to remove players from the guild for reasons other than those shown, and will do so at their sole discretion.

Rest assured, we will never remove someone from our guild lightly - we want you to have FUN, play FAIR, be a good team player, and help us continue to build a great reputation as a guild.

Guild Ranks

The ranks in our guild follow:

Guild Leader- Our Guild Leader is responsible for maintaining the health of the guild, providing direction for growth, ensuring that the membership has ample opportunities for enjoyment of the game alongside their guild mates, and the resources to access as much game content as possible. In consultation with the Mentors and Class Leaders/Commanders the Guild Leader will make decisions about membership to preserve harmony in the guild, and protect what we are all working hard to build.

Along with your Class Leader/Commander and the Mentors, the Guild Leader will be available to listen to your concerns and suggestions. The GL will plan for future guild achievements, and appoint members to tasks that enhance the reputation and standing of the Serenity Knights Guild on Bronzebeard. As we evolve and achieve together, the Guild Leader must always assure that we are ready to unlock more fantastic content in game, and build lasting friendships through group victories and accomplishments in the game, whether they be End-Game Instance runs, achievements in crafting, attainment of Exalted status with game Factions, or other goals that guild members are working towards.

Ultimately, the GL must work to ensure that the Serenity Knights are about Fun, Friendship and New Adventures.

The Guild Leader is appointed to his/her post by the Mentors. If a GL is needed, the Mentors will vote to determine which of them will ascend to the GL position. If no Mentor is willing to be GL, an interim GL will be raised from among the Class Commanders for 30 days. At the end of 30 days, the Interim GL can be permanently vested by the Mentors, or the Mentors may vote for one of their number to assume the Guild Leader role.

Mentor- Our Mentors are truly High Lords and Ladies of the Serenity Knights.

Mentors are selected for their maturity, game knowledge, spirit of service, generosity, leadership, helpfulness, intelligence, listening skills, love of the game and integrity.

They have a tremendous range of responsibilities, ranging from mediating disputes between guild members, promoting and recognizing members who have attained a new rank within the Serenity Knights guild, recruitment of quality members for the guild, and providing much of the leadership, wisdom and patience that builds a cohesive group.

Mentors have the authority to remove members from the guild when needed, promote or demote members when called for, and have appropriate command of guild resources as needed to further the goals of the guild.

Guild Mentors are selected in concert by the Guild Leader and existing Mentors in a process of private vote and debate.

Commander- The Commander should be a leadership and authority figure to the Recruits, Squire and Knights within her/his class, constantly working to grow their experience and capabilities. There will be one Commander/Class Leader for each class Druid, Hunters, Mages, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Warlock, Warrior and Shaman. At times, a class leader position may be vacant, while the senior leaders of the guild work to identify the best person to fill the spot.

In order to be a Class Commander you must have a Character at the level cap in that class, and be very familiar with the successful strategies, builds and tactics central to the character. You must have satisfied all of the requirements to attain the rank of Knight. The Mentors and Guild Leader will appoint Class Commanders as needed.

The class leaders are in place to help the people of that class grow and learn their position. They are also expected to look for new recruits of their class, answer any questions and possibly even take the others in their class out on runs help them learn. The Class Commander should be willing to help members of their class with questions about successful talent build and gearing. They are expected to read and monitor the topics that are posted on the website inside their class, and help organize members of their class during large raids. This includes the establishment of class chat channels as needed during raids. The Class Commander should also give buff assignments, or appoint someone to take care of them.

The Class Commander may invite new members of their own class into the Serenity Knights. (The only exception is for a former member of the guild. In those cases all mentors and guild leader have to agree to let them return to the guild). They can invite new members into the guild outside their class after consulting with a Mentor or the Guild Leader, and may invite confirmed alts at will. The Class Commander is empowered to remove someone from the guild, after discussing the issue with either a Mentor or the Guild Leader.

Class Commanders determine who from their class will be eligible to attend guild 25-man and larger raids. They are free to decide upon gearing requirements, tenure standards or other factors as prerequisites for seating, and should communicate these requirements to their members. If possible, the Commander should maintain a list of these 'raid-eligible" members, so that appointed Raid Leaders can access them on the guild website. Class Commanders are assured a spot in raids if they wish, and are eligible to win Epic drops under the Serenity Knights DKP system.

Sub Commander- For each class Druid, Hunters, Mages, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Warlock, Warrior and Shaman. These are appointed by the Class Commanders of that class. They will assist the class commanders in helping members of their WoW class learn builds, gearing, and successful tactics. Alternately, The Guild Leader and Mentors may appoint subcommanders for a class. Sub-Commanders can invite confirmed alts to the guild, and place officer notes on guild members in the roster. If a Class Commander is absent, Sub-Commanders will cover their duties in Raid groups. Sub Commanders are eligible to win Epic drops in 10-man and larger raid groups under the Serenity Knights DKP system.

Officer Alts- New rank to help with using the in game raid schedule system.  Alts of any officer of any rank will be at this level.

Knight- Veteran member of Serenity Knights, with full access to Guild resources, seating in Guild instance runs, bank privileges, and the respect of the guild. The Knight represents our guild in Azeroth and the Outlands, and should comport him/herself with class, kindness, and show that the Serenity Knights believe in having fun and exploring the best content in WoW. Knights are eligible to win Epic drops in 10-man and larger raid groups under the Serenity Knights DKP system.

Requirements - To be promoted to Knight, you must Satisfy these requirements:
Be an active member of the guild for three or more weeks. You should be registered on the Serenity Knights website(http://www.SerenityKnights.com), download Guild Event Manager and at least have your Main character subscribe to the serenityknights channel, sign and agree to the guild charter, and have Ventrilo (our voice chat) installed so that you can at least listen.

Knight alts - New rank to help with the in game raid schedule system we use.  All alts of members knight rank will be at this level.

Squire- A respected member of the guild with at least two weeks of membership. The Squire should be participating in as many guild runs as they can, getting to know all the members of the Serenity Knights family, and working towards becoming a Knight as soon as possible! Squires may earn DKP points, but may not win Epic items in 10-man or larger raids unless all raid members of Knight rank or higher have passed.

Recruits- Probationary member of the Guild, who has been invited to join so that we can adventure with her/him, and find out about their qualities as a person and a player. Recruits are brought into the guild for a two week probationary period, then all guild members of Knight rank and higher will vote whether to keep the recuit, and promote them to Squire. Five or more "No" votes will result in the removal of the recruit. Options to abstain from voting, or to defer the vote for another two weeks will be available. The purpose of this recuitment policy is to maintain the choesion and chemistry of the guild, and to provide means for the guild at large to remove Recruits who don't fit the personality and character of the guild.

Leaving the Guild and Coming Back

If a member feels to need to leave the Serenity Knights, but later asks to be accepted back into the Guild, the Guild leader and Mentors must unanimously vote to accept the person back into the Guild. If they cannot unanimously agree that the player is welcome to return, then the former member cannot re-join the Serenity Knights.
